Our eldest child is 23 this year, so we have had a fair bit of experience
with these people, having lived here for 20 years. We have had reports
with pages missing, and refusal to send a copy at all, in one case. My
wife says they are no different to the people she had to deal with as a
child, forty years ago, so we have not come far, have we?!*
Yes, we have met David Retter and yes, he appears to be a very courteous, pleasant man. but he is just one of many.
These people caused me and my family so much pain over two and
a half years, that I do not wish to rake over it all again. However, if
I could just offer this advice to anyone unfortunate enough to tangle
with these 'professionals'.
Never contact them by telephone. Get everything in writing. Share any
info you may wish to release, with people like EO, ARCH, FASSIT,
newspapers, TV, Radio, MPs etc. This way, their lies and mistakes cannot
be covered up.
A few days ago, I heard a lady teacher on the Mark Thomas show
(R4) commenting on how she had been treated by OFSTED inspectors. They
did not come out of it well! Some of the 'people' we had to deal with
stressed that they did school inspections for OFSTED. We pointed out
that this did not qualify them for HE, but it would seem they are bloody
useless at whatever they do!
