Our family's experience of Staffordshire LA has been poor - insistent on monitoring visit and heavy handed when visit was refused, unclear as the extent of their powers/responsibilities etc. I would be very wary of engaging with them again.
However saying all that I do know of other families in the area who have had a more positive experience, perhaps because how they home ed fits in more with the LA view of how home ed should 'look'.
