| Helen Sadler is our EHE officer, and she is very supportive of home ed and autonomous approaches. I've met her twice and have found her very open and honest. | |

Over the past 2.5 years that I have known Helen, I have found her most supportive and pro home education. My own children have always looked forward to her visits and taken pride in chatting with her of the adventures they have had in their learning. Her manner is pleasant and relaxed, more like a chat over a cuppa than a formal 'inspection'.
Whilst the LA having nothing to offer in a financial sense currently (exam centres etc) Helen will make time during her busy work schedule to offer impartial support and guidance relating to all aspects of education. |

| Helen is pro-home ed and encouraged me to de-register my child when I asked for her advice. Helen is trying to work to improve relations between HE families and the LA. | |

| I have had a visit from Helen and I email her if I need advice or I think she should know something for eg: progress etc. I receive a newsletter from her also. Helen has my thumbs up as a person who cares about what I do and why. | |

| Helen Sadler is EHE officer for Leicestershire. She is not terrible as in she has not hounded me for a visit, but she insisted last year that she would be back for more details this year even though I asked her only to get in touch if it came to her notice that I was not fulfilling my section 7 duty. She hasn't been back in touch, surprise surprise, I think she knows my opinion of what Las have been trying to get away with via Badman and the DCSF. | |
