| Nice chap. If you are genuinely home educating your child you will get on fine. Unfortunately a few people see home education as an easy way of not sending children to school and getting away with it. Tim needs more help to keep check on those that fit this category. | |

Tim met us about four years ago, our first (and only) contact with Kent CC after de-regging our son.
Tim is a former head teacher of a special needs school that was shut down by the council; he's relatively HE friendly, didn't insist on seeing the child or look at work, and in fact seems to have made up his mind that we were "okay" on walking through the door, despite our lack of preparation beyond hoovering. His attitude was that he has enough on his plate dealing with "genuine educational welfare cases" than to worry about everyday home educators. |
